I stumbled onto some great movies about the cancer experience. I was surprised to find that there can be some funny, and moving but at times tear-jerker, films out there. They do a fantastic job of depicting an individual's cancer journey. I'm still looking at one from a woman's perspective, but not one that is depicted by Samantha in Sex in the City.
50/50 - Joseph Gordon-Levitt does a phenomenal job showing all the stages of going through cancer. It's inspired by a true story too.
Not Suitable for Children - Ryan Kwanten, the actor who plays Jason Stackhouse in True Blood, plays a man in his 20s, just diagnosed with testicular cancer. He tries desperately to find a woman to have a baby with in less than a month. It's a funny, and a romantic comedy of sorts.
